Anyone who hears even one phrase or one verse of the sutra receives the prophecy of supreme enlightenment. A seed lands in a life, and the seed is indestructible. Nichiren Daishonin taught that sharing the Law plants the cause of Buddhahood in the one who hears it, whatever their reaction on the day.
So keep it simple. Send a friend a short message. Say the words Namu Myoho Renge Kyo over coffee. Mention what you chanted this morning and how your day felt afterward. No pressure, no argument, no need to explain everything.
The merit lives in the act of sharing. You speak, and the Law does the rest. Your friend may smile, nod, or say nothing at all, and the cause is already planted. It grows in its own season, in that person's own life.
