The week is almost over. What did it add up to?
Put the scorecard down. Every Namu Myoho Renge Kyo you chanted this week is already PLANTED.
Nichiren Daishonin taught that the lotus flower blossoms and bears its seed at the same moment. When you chanted, cause and effect of Buddhahood were established in your life right then. Nothing waits for a tally to make it real.
The Three Kinds of Treasure says, "Unseen virtue brings about visible reward." Much of what you built this week sits below the surface, like roots under the soil. The roots grow in the dark and the flower arrives in its own season.
Nobody can read your week from the outside, and the Law reads it perfectly. The seed of Buddhahood planted by your voice cannot be destroyed. It matures. Tired mornings count. Distracted evenings count. The days you chanted a single sincere phrase count in full.
So close the week with open hands. Sit before the Gohonzon, or face a quiet space, and give thanks with one steady round of daimoku. Let the days that passed rest in the Law.
Monday arrives with fresh soil and a fresh cause waiting for your voice.
You have planted well. Rest in that.
Namu Myoho Renge Kyo.
