October 13th - THE DREAM THAT STAYS WITH YOU

Did a dream follow you out of bed this morning?

Some dreams are vivid enough to color the whole day. A face, a voice, a feeling in the chest that refuses to leave. It is natural to turn it over and ask what it means.

Notice it. Let it be what it is, a scene your mind made in the dark. Then stand up and chant Namu Myoho Renge Kyo. The writings of Nichiren Daishonin place the practice in active faith, in the voice you raise and in how you live. Your daimoku today carries the full weight of the Law, whatever you saw last night.

Ordinary people carry restless thoughts in every age. A wandering mind is the normal start of practice, and the practitioner returns to the daimoku again and again. RETURN once, and the day belongs to you.

Then let ACTION decide what matters. Answer the message you have been putting off. Greet your family with warmth. Do your work with care. Nichiren Daishonin named behavior as a human being as the true meaning of the Buddha's teaching. Quiet virtue planted today grows into visible reward.

A dream passes with the morning light. A cause made in the present remains.

Hold the dream lightly and hold your practice firmly.

    Namu Myoho Renge Kyo.
